CMEF 2026 Spring provided a valuable perspective on evolving trends in medical imaging technologies. One notable development this year was a shift in focus from functional performance toward image quality consistency, standardized testing, and quantifiable evaluation.

Continuous Upgrades in Endoscope and Surgical Imaging Systems

Endoscope and surgical imaging systems remained a key focus at the exhibition. As resolution and imaging performance continue to improve, demand is growing for endoscope image quality testing, imaging consistency control, and standardized evaluation.

Beyond R&D, quality stability during mass production is becoming an increasingly important consideration.

Rising Demand for In-Line Inspection in Medical Imaging Manufacturing

As products move from development into production, more companies are paying attention to in-line inspection capabilities, including:

• Rapid image quality inspection
• Defect detection in production processes
• Consistency control and batch stability evaluation

Inspection is gradually evolving from sampling-based checks toward process-oriented quality management.

Emerging Applications Drive Standardized Imaging Requirements

Beyond conventional imaging systems, emerging applications such as TCM facial diagnosis and tongue diagnosis are also creating new requirements for standardized imaging environments, illumination control, color consistency, and data reproducibility.
