CS-ECTS-TC05 Angular Resolution and Depth of Field Test Chart

ColorSpace develops the CS-ECTS-TC Series Endoscope Test Charts for evaluating the imaging performance of medical and industrial endoscopes. The CS-ECTS-TC05 Angular Resolution and Depth of Field Test Chart is designed for angular resolution testing and depth-of-field evaluation of endoscopic imaging systems.

The test chart uses A-type resolving power patterns based on JB/T 9328-1999 and can be used for angular resolution testing in accordance with YY 0068.1. By performing angular resolution measurements at different optical working distances, the chart can also be used to evaluate the effective depth of field of an endoscope.

The test chart is available in A1 and A2 patterns and features a transmissive film-on-glass construction. With a standard size of 160 mm × 134 mm, it can be directly mounted on the CS-ECTS Endoscope Test System for optical performance testing of medical and industrial endoscopes.


Key Features

01|Angular Resolution Testing

The test chart uses resolving power patterns with high-contrast line pairs to evaluate the ability of an endoscope to resolve fine image details at a specified optical working distance.According to YY 0068.1, angular resolution testing is performed using a resolving power test target with A-type resolving power patterns specified in JB/T 9328-1999, under defined test conditions.

02|Depth of Field Evaluation

For endoscopes with depth-of-field characteristics, angular resolution can be measured at different optical working distances to evaluate the effective depth of field.

By changing the distance between the endoscope and the test chart and repeating the angular resolution measurement, the range over which the endoscope maintains the required resolving performance can be evaluated.

03|A1 / A2 Resolving Power Patterns

The test chart is available with A1 and A2 patterns, allowing users to select the appropriate resolving power pattern according to the endoscope and test requirements.

04|Based on JB/T 9328-1999 Resolving Power Test Target

The test chart uses A-type resolving power patterns based on JB/T 9328-1999, Resolving Power Test Target, for evaluating the resolving capability of optical imaging systems.The A-type resolving power patterns are also referenced by YY 0068.1 for angular resolution testing of rigid endoscopes.

05|Compatible with the CS-ECTS Endoscope Test System

With a standard size of 160 mm × 134 mm, the CS-ECTS-TC05 can be directly mounted on the CS-ECTS Endoscope Test System for endoscope angular resolution and optical performance testing.
